For day 2 at Cardigan we climbed up Mt. Cardigan and Mt. Firescrew. We had lunch on a look out that you could see Firescrew and all the little valleys and divots. It rained when we were a little more than halfway up the mountain so we had to stop and see if it cleared up. Waypoints were made during the hike so we know where these cool spots are. There were a lot of slippery and steep parts on the way down and up. On the top of Mt. Cardigan there was a fire tower that had a bunch of names on it. It was super windy on the summit of Cardigan, you could fall in slow motion! There were also carvings of different names in the rock on the summit.

When we walked on the back 80 loop there were different regions of trees. As we walked, there were different types of moss on the rock. There were all types of different rocks, for example the limestone rock. Or the rocks that were left behind when glaciers went through the land.
